PROJECTS
BALD HILL PROJECT
(Centrex JV: PEN Earning 80%)
A review of past data has commenced and has already
highlighted a number of prospects that will require follow up. These
include a gold anomaly in the west of the project where highly anomalous
gold was intersected in bottom of hole drill samples in the 1990's.
The project has also been found to contain a number of
significant historic underground copper mines, which were operational in
the late 1800's. The Lincoln mine comprised a number of shafts reaching
depths of 100 metres and employed up to 100 men. The ore horizon mined
was said to pinch and swell with widths between 1 and 6 metres. Samples
of the mined material ranged in grade from 4% to 24% Copper. Further
assessment of this high grade mine will be undertaken. In addition to
the Lincoln mine a number of other historic high grade copper mines have
been identified within the project area.
