COCKABIDNIE PROJECT
(Centrex JV: PEN Earning 80%)
The Company has recently completed a detailed gravity
survey at the Cockabidnie Project on the Eyre Peninsula, which
has highlighted a 3.5km long, buried and extremely dense gravity
anomaly. The gravity anomaly is located within Hutchison Group
metasediments, which also host the 1.7Mt Menninnie Dam zinc-lead-silver
deposit to the north. The Hutchison Group metasediments have the
potential to host world class, Broken Hill-style base metal deposits.
Previous drilling at Cockabidnie prior to 1994
intersected multiple zones of base metal mineralisation over several
kilometres of strike length. Better results included 9.9m at 0.29% Zn
and 5m at 1.29% Zn. The principle gravity anomaly, which possibly
represents a large massive sulphide accumulation within Hutchison Group
metasediments has not been tested by the previous drilling. Comment on
our recent drilling?
